Exploring the Area of North Wales
Now that you have finally arrived at the place which was once known as the Kingdom of Gwynedd, the next logical step is to, of course, explore it. You have to get out there and have a taste of the local cuisine such as the Tatws Pum Munud (five minute potatoes), Bara brith (speckled bread), Glamorgan sauce, Caerphilly, or Lobscows. You should also make it a point to take photographs of the various tourist attractions such as the Llanrwst Bridge, Maen y Bardd Burial Chamber, St Michael's Church, and Beaumaris Castle. However, in order for you to do all of that, you must get to these venues first.
In getting around the area, you are given a number of options, namely:
Rail
When you are travelling between major hubs, this is the best option for you as it is relatively faster than driving and more convenient than flying. You can choose to go on the Conwy Valley Line, which stretches all the way from the junction of a Victorian seaside resort to a small town in the Snowdonia Mountains. It connects trains on both the region's coastline and the tracks of the former slate-mining village. Or perhaps you can go on the Welsh Highland which links Porthmadog to Caernarfon via Beddgelert. However, if you would like to view the Cambrian Coast, then you should opt for the narrow-gauge Ffestiniog.
Bus
If you are not too interested in going by rail or if you are looking for something more budget-friendly, you do have the alternative to board a coach. You have two main routes to select from. The first one is the TrawsCambria, which services Bangor, Aberystwyth, Cardiff, Cardigan, Swansea, Brecon, Barmouth, Synod Inn, Merthyr Tydfil, and Newtown. The second path is the Bws Gwynedd which has operations that cover the whole of the second biggest county in north-west Wales and also offers longer distance solutions to Wrexham and Chester.
Car
When you are looking for a mode of transport that is more private, you can always choose to rent a vehicle. You just have to make sure that you have a current driving licence though. But other than that, you should have no problem chartering an automobile in the vicinity.
Now that you know how you can get around the region, all you have to do now is refer to your check-list of activities to do, places to see, items to purchase, and dishes to taste. Of course, in order for you to really enjoy your stay in the area, it would be a good idea to get accommodation at a 3 star luxury hotel. An excellent choice would be the one presented on this domain.
